By acquiring the interest held by Redevco Retail Belgium in Shopping 1 in April 2012, Wereldhave Belgium currently holds 86% of the ownership rights.
The shopping centre (built in 1967, with 15,600 m² of lettable surface area) was given an extensive facelift in 2014. In addition to a general refurbishment, the shopping centre was expanded to 27,100 m² GLA. The car park can now accommodate 1,250 cars (formerly 720) and there is a Carrefour supermarket. After the extension, the building was certified 'VERY GOOD' according to the BREEAM New Construction assessment method.
Important lessees are Carrefour, Sportsdirect, MS Mode, WE, Avance, New Yorker, Planet Parfum en Hunkemöller.

Due to its central location, the shopping centre can be easily reached by public transport; it lies on a route of 11 lines (8, 9, 10, 11, 31, 33, 40, 44, 45, 46 and 183). The railway station is only a five to ten minute stroll away.
