Wereldhave Belgium strengthens portfolio with acquisition of Ville2 shopping center in Charleroi
PRESS RELEASE | Wereldhave Belgium has reached an agreement on the acquisition of the Ville2 shopping center in Charleroi, an important step in the further rollout of its LifeCentral strategy. With a property value of €120 million and a net initial yield of 8%, this acquisition fully meets Wereldhave Belgium’s strict acquisition criteria. The center, built in 1991 and recently renovated, hosts 122 tenants across various sectors such as fashion, beauty, multimedia, and leisure.
Ville2 welcomes around 4 million visitors annually and generates approximately €9.5 million in net rental income. The shopping center features an integrated food court, a major leisure and entertainment tenant, and is located next to the Pathé Imax Cinema complex, further enhancing its consumer appeal. With 27,000 m² GLA, of which 21% is mixed use, and 2,000 free parking spaces, Ville2 represents a strong anchor point in the periphery of Charleroi.
