Independent compliance function
The independent compliance function is an autonomous function within the company that ensures and promotes adherence to all rules governing the integrity of the company’s activities. These include the company’s internal policies, articles of association, and applicable laws and regulations. It reflects the company’s commitment to a culture of honesty, integrity, and high ethical standards in all business practices. Both the company and its employees are expected to act with integrity — being honest, reliable, and trustworthy at all times.
Debbie Mottart (employee and legal officer) has been appointed independent compliance officer in accordance with article 14, § 4 of the law on RRECs. Debbie Mottart's mandate as independent compliance officer is for an indefinite period.
Internal audit
The internal audit is an independent monitoring function embedded within the organisation. It is responsible for assessing the proper operation, effectiveness, and efficiency of the company’s internal control processes and procedures, including compliance and risk management. The internal auditor provides management and other stakeholders with analyses, recommendations, and insights to support sound decision-making and continuous improvement.
The Company has appointed the external consultant BDO Advisory BV, represented by Mr. E.S.G.L. van Zandvoort, partner, as the person in charge of the internal audit.
The mandate of BDO Advisory BV as external consultant started on 23 September 2017 for an undetermined duration.
