jr Sustainability & Energy Project Manager
Wereldhave Belgium is looking for...
... a driven, enthusiastic, and eager-to-learn Sustainability & Energy Project Manager with a passion for sustainability and energy. You learn quickly by doing, enjoy thinking along strategically, and take initiative when it comes to data, reporting and tangible actions. Translating strategy into measurable results energises you. Does this sound like you? Then we’d love to meet you!
You’ll be joining...
... a forward-thinking and dynamic organisation that views sustainability not as an obligation, but as a strategic advantage. You’ll become part of the Operations team and work closely with the current Project Manager. You collaborate easily with internal teams such as facility managers and shopping centre teams, as well as external partners and stakeholders. You’ll have room to grow, take ownership, and contribute to an ambitious sustainability strategy.
Your impact on our organisation?
You will contribute to projects that visibly improve our ESG performance: from optimising energy consumption to implementing sustainable technologies. You’ll measure, analyse and report on the impact of our actions, helping to reduce our ecological footprint and strengthen our positive impact on society and the environment.
Your responsibilities as (Junior) Sustainability & Energy Project Manager:
- Support the development and implementation of WHB’s long-term sustainability strategy.
- Monitor and manage energy-related aspects of our assets: procurement, consumption, solar panels, EV charging, technical systems, BMS, EMS...
- Analyse data, propose improvements and proactively contribute to process optimisation.
- Follow up on sustainability projects and coordinate between internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Assist in achieving, renewing and tracking sustainability certifications such as BREEAM In-Use and GRESB.
- Support with tenders, budget management and technical documentation.
- Take initiative, think in solutions and translate ideas into concrete actions.
Your profile:
- You have a strong interest in sustainability, energy and real estate, combined with an analytical and strategic mindset.
- You work independently, plan effectively, and are not afraid to take initiative.
- You are a fast learner and able to handle feedback constructively.
- You have a relevant educational background or initial experience in a technical, economic, facility or construction-related field.
- You speak and write fluently in Dutch and English, and have a good command of French.
- Knowledge of ESG, BREEAM, GRESB, energy management or reporting standards is a plus.
- You are proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Experience with AutoCAD or data analysis tools is an asset.
- You hold a valid driving licence (category B).
What we offer:
- A varied full-time role within a company in full transformation and growth.
- An attractive salary package with extra-legal benefits, including a company car and fuel card.
- Access to the GoodHabitz digital learning platform and support for your professional development through targeted training and learning tracks.
- A hybrid working environment: a mix of working at our head office, on-site at our assets, and 1 to 2 days of remote work per week.
- A role where you are connected with diverse teams and partners and can truly make a difference.
- Ample room to grow, take initiative and make real impact.
- A company that values your entrepreneurial mindset.
- Inspiring projects with a strong focus on both people and planet.
- A team of experienced colleagues who will guide and support your independence.
